Evgeni Prudnik: “I'm preparing for Bresnan” # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

At the July Vendetta in Vegas Prudnik will face Tim Bresnan. They will fight in the unlimited category. ()

He fights mostly with right hand, because he thinks “it feels different techniques better” and it's with the right that he can get out of most tough situations.

If I go against my opponent's best technique with my right arm, I can do much more than with my left. My left arm is a little bit “dumber” - says Evgeni Prudnik, who will fight in the 12th of July Vendetta in Vegas.

Evgeni Prudnik – Ukrainian theatrical actor and armwrestler – will face Tim Bresnan in Vegas. It will be a rematch for 2013 Nemiroffs, where Tim lost in right arm to Evgeni, by fouls.

They will fight in unlimited category. That is a rare event in sports and allows fighters with very different weights, but similatr potential, to face each other. Prudnik weighs about 90 kg, but he has faced heavier opponents before.

Prudnik's toughest opponents so far were Rustam Babayev, Zoloev i Semerenko.

Thsoe are the three toughest ones – says Prudnik. - I should speak seperately about each one. Babaev, for example, is very resilient 9compared to the other two). I fought him twice in finals; those were heavy fights. And Rustam is also very cunning. Resilient, cunning and strong. Cunning, because he fought over the top with me, which was unexpected.

We always fought with hook, and then bam! He goes over the top and opens my fingers. He's very experienced. Then I fought Zoloev. He's flexible enough, but not that resilient. I thought that if he beat Babaev, he'll be resilient, but strangely it's not so. He was very strong in the beginning, but then he let go very fast. I thought we were going to have a much longer fight. Semerenko is yet another story. His attack is stronger than his defence. When he attacks, he's very hard to stop, but once stopped he's very easy to attack. Most fighters are better at defending than attacking, but Semerenko is different.

Prudnik has been praparing for this Vendetta since thhis year's Europeans.

I've been preparing for the Europeans, and now for Bresnan – says Prudnik. - I will not give up my secrets, as they're part and parcel of my preparation. We'll see how I do and if I manage to surprise the opponent. Every opponent needs separate preparations. That's the beauty of this sport, you can't fight everyone the same way. There will be a dominating technique, obviously. What will it be this time? I can't tell you, I'll keep my cards close.

More on Evgeni Prudni and his fight with Bresnan at Nemiroff World Cup 2013 in the next article.

Armfight #43 will take place at 12th of July, Sunday, 15 – 18, at Vinyl Club in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
